Connor Waldman is a composer, sound artist, and software engineer. He received his M.S. in Computer Science at the University of Louisville, and his B.A. in Music Technology from Bellarmine University. He specializes in computer music, synthesis, field recording, free improvisation and multimedia performance. Connor has developed software and hardware for musical composition and performance, focusing on abstract signal processing. In addition, he is involved with Louisville-based label City State Tapes and provides mastering services to local and national artists. He also hosts Split Ends, a weekly radio program devoted to electronic and experimental music on Louisville’s ARTxFM station. He has performed with the Free Electronic Association of Louisville, Zim Marim, Dreamland Improvisation Company, among others. Most recently Connor’s work has dealt with topics such as data mining, natural phenomena and advanced synthesis techniques.
